The Wire Season 2
Overview
All the pieces matter — even the ones on the docks. The Wire leaves the towers for the port, where union leader Frank Sobotka's desperation pulls him into the drug trade's orbit. It's a gear-shift that alienated some viewers and converted the rest: the show's thesis — that the game is rigged at every level — expands beautifully. Sobotka ranks among the most heartbreaking characters the show ever created. Many fans now call it the best season. They're making a strong case.
